There are 3 major airports near Berkley, the closest one being Oakland International Airport, located at a distance of 11 miles from the city centre of Berkeley. By Bus

The bus service to and from the airport, as well as the local public bus services, are being provided by the AC Transit, operating in Alameda and Contra Costa County.

AC Transit lines: Line 51 runs every 10 minutes, Line 1 travels along Telegraph Avenue and the following lines stop in downtown Berkeley: F, 1, 7, 9, 15, 18, 19, 43, 51, 52L, 65, 67 and 79.

The regular local AC Transit bus fares are: $2 for adults (single ride), $20 for a 10-ride ticket and $80 for a monthly pass.

By Train

Capitol Corridor has more than 30 trains that are operating daily between Sacramento and Bay Area.

Downtown Berkeley, visitors will find The Parking & Transportation Office, from where they can get information about how to find their way around the city or alternative routes to University of California Berkeley campus.

Travelers can also purchase tickets from the office for AC Transit, BART, Vallejo Transit and UC Davis shuttle systems.

The Bear Transit Campus Shuttles operates daily from Monday to Friday, between 7 30 am and 7 30 pm, the lines running around the campus perimeter in both directions.
